During these discussions, the company presented the project’s current legal status and its strategic relevance, highlighting the need for responsible mining practices that address environmental and community concerns from the outset.
Military Metals has outlined a comprehensive approach that integrates critical raw materials, environmental remediation, and the expertise of Slovak scientists. Recent internal engineering work has focused on developing an underground mining concept that minimizes surface impact through techniques such as paste backfill. However, it is important to note that this remains a conceptual phase, with further technical studies, environmental assessments, and permitting processes required before any development decisions can be made.
A pressing issue for the project is the continuity of exploration rights. Currently, an appeal against the cancellation of the exploration area is pending, and a separate extension proceeding is suspended. The existing term for exploration rights is set to expire on 18 October 2026. Military Metals is pursuing a lawful resolution through the appropriate administrative channels, refraining from soliciting political intervention in the matter.
