Aurora Group has successfully completed the first major phase of its 2026 field exploration program at the Globmine Gold Project located in Kazakhstan. The field team has gathered over 15,000 lithogeochemical samples, creating a robust dataset that will aid in identifying geochemical anomalies and prospective mineralization zones. This extensive sampling effort has also included work within the granite massif, which is crucial for understanding the geological framework of the project area.
In conjunction with the sampling, preliminary analyses are being conducted using a portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer (pXRF). This initial analysis is complemented by selective submissions of samples to a laboratory for detailed gold analysis, ensuring that the data collected is both comprehensive and precise. The geological mapping program, led by experienced geologists Daulet Muratbekov and Yerlan Nabiev, is nearing completion with over 300 line-kilometres of traverses planned. This mapping is essential for refining the geological understanding of the project area, particularly in identifying the distribution of hydrothermal alteration zones and mineralization indicators.
As the project progresses, the Aurora Geophysics Ltd. team has initiated a ground magnetic survey, with approximately 800 line-kilometres planned. This geophysical survey is designed to complement the geological and geochemical data collected thus far, enhancing the understanding of the subsurface structure, especially in areas obscured by unconsolidated cover. The primary objective of this next phase is to pinpoint areas where gold geochemical anomalies align with favourable geological and geophysical characteristics. These identified areas will be prioritised for further exploration activities, including trenching and future drilling initiatives.
Globmine Resources is transitioning from extensive field data collection to integrated interpretation, focusing on defining specific exploration targets that will guide the next steps in their exploration strategy. This systematic approach is expected to yield significant insights into the potential of the Globmine Gold Project, positioning it as a promising site for future mining activities in Kazakhstan.
