Kyrgyzstan to Discuss Proposal to Build Nuclear Power Plant

A proposal to build a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Kyrgyzstan will soon be put forward by the country's energy ministry, deputy minister of energy Emilbek Ysmanov told a parliamentary committee. The planned facility would use small modular reactor (SMR) technology and is expected to help alleviate the country's power outages.
