Kazakh delegation discussed business interests with Canadian companies in Vancouver

The Kazakh delegation held meetings with several Canadian mining companies to discuss the possibility of developing business cooperation

The heads of the companies positively received information about subsoil use and geological surveys in Kazakhstan and expressed readiness to discuss specific projects and plans for entering the Kazakh market.

The delegation also participated in the “Mining in a transitional world: trends and opportunities in Eurasia” session, which focused on the investment attractiveness of the mining industry in Central Asia, Turkey, and Mongolia. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Canada, Akylbek Kamaldinov, informed participants about economic reforms in Kazakhstan and measures taken to improve the business environment. He also highlighted the potential of new deposits of natural resources and rare earth metals in Kazakhstan.
