Kazakhstan is set to reach 10.3% of electricity generation from renewables in 2030, thus slightly topping its original end-of-decade target but missing the revised one of 15%, GlobalData said on Monday. The country achieved its short-term target of producing 3% of its electricity from renewable energy sources in 2020 and the following year increased its 2030 goal to 15% from 10%.
