The project “Optimization of the flotation process using artificial intelligence technologies,” which was conducted by Bakyrchik Mining Enterprise LLP and is owned by Polymetal Eurasia, has received the nomination of “Best project with the use of AI” at Tech Garden Awards 2023. This project has the potential to increase metal recovery (1.5-3%) by improving visibility, predicting material inputs (ore mineralogy and PSD), and providing operator guidance, all of which can lead to OPEX savings and reduce localized events by highlighting underperforming cells/columns.

As Kanat Dosmukametov, the General Director of Polymetal Eurasia LLP, noted, “By implementing this project at Bakyrchik Mining Enterprise, we aim to not only increase gold recovery and yield of concentrate with specified parameters but also protect the technological process from the influence of the human factor. This will increase the reliability and uninterruptedness of the entire production chain.”

Full-scale loading and commissioning of the project at the enterprise are planned for the autumn of this year.
