From January to November 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported 16.1 tons of gold valued at $1.26 billion, reflecting a 4% rise in weight and a 30% increase in value compared to the same period in 2023, when exports amounted to 15.4 tons worth $972 million. The United Kingdom emerged as the leading buyer, accounting for 82% of exports with 13.3 tons valued at over $1 billion. Early in 2024, exports to China were prominent, but later shifted entirely to the UK, halting sales to China, the UAE, and Switzerland.
